Epidemiological situation of coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic as of March 20

The KR MOH informs that the epidemiological situation on coronavirus infection continues to deteriorate in the republic.

On March 18, 2020, 3 people with positive results were admitted to the Jalal-Abad Regional Clinical Hospital. The condition is satisfactory, symptomatic treatment is being received. Anti-epidemic measures were immediately organized, all the contacts through the joint trip to the small Hajj and in the family were detected. In total, 142 people were identified and hospitalized to the observation facilities in Jalal-Abad, Osh, Batken, Chui, Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions and Bishkek City. All the contacts were sampled for laboratory tests, the results are negative. 

In addition, all household contacts were established with these patients (1414 in Jalal-Abad, 195 in Osh, 526 in Batken, Chui regions, Kochkor district, city of Bishkek), all of them are under home-based observation. 

On March 19, 2020, 3 more cases were detected and confirmed in Nookat district (women - 67, 71 and 77 years old), all of them were isolated. These persons flew on a Jida-Osh flight on March 12. In total, 282 people arrived on this flight; today anti-epidemic measures are ongoing to establish all the contacts in close cooperation with local authorities, the Ministry of Emergencies and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 

We ask all citizens to strictly observe personal hygiene measures, recommended by the MOH. Citizens in home quarantine must strictly abide by the prescribed home observation measures.
